Mexican Company Dedicated to Raising, Packaging and Commercializing Turkey and Its Derivatives Chooses Epicor to Streamline Business Processes

Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, today announced that Pavos Parson, a Mexican company with more than 40 years of experience in raising, packaging and commercializing turkey and its derivatives has selected the Epicor next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.

With its headquarters and two distribution centers in Chihuahua, three distribution centers in Mexico City, as well as an authorized network of distributors in thirteen other states of the country, Pavos Parson is a leader in the Mexican turkey industry. Fast market growth and the importance of gaining more control over processes to leverage business opportunities were two reasons the company began the search for an ERP system.

“During the past few years, the company has been working with a homegrown system built in Visual Basic and running on the Windows XP platform,” said Jesus Dominguez, IT Manager for Pavos Parson. “The system was developed as business needs arose, but doesn’t include Supply Chain Management or Customer Relationship Management functionality. Today, we have problems with user interface and validation, and are also having difficulties generating reports — there is a general instability in the system.”

As the market and Pavos Parson started to grow, it became more evident the company needed an end-to-end ERP solution to meet its changing business requirements. The company’s executives decided to formalize the search for a modern business software solution.

“After considering different options, we chose Epicor because it was the most complete solution that we found for our industry,” Dominguez commented. “With Epicor we’ll be able to share information between the ERP and other systems that will be used alongside.”
