Independent Analysis Underscores Importance of Strong
Organizational Change Management During ERP Implementations
The 2010 Organizational Change Management Report is based on research by Panorama Consulting via online polling and was supplemented with qualitative data gathered from focus group interviews with a sample of survey respondents. This report reviews the sensitive issues that arise during ERP implementations and the organization’s ability to leverage the effects of organizational change management or OCM.
The report focuses on seven key areas that can benefit from well-orchestrated OCM efforts: managerial support, benefits realization, business case development, business process improvement, ERP software customization, operational integration and post-implementation results. It also offers tips for effective OCM, including addressing the needs of the organization at both local and global levels, tasking change agents at each office, and sharing quantitative performance measures to boost buy-in and improve results.
