The Verdict is in: Baker & McKenzie Chooses SAP

SAP NEWSBYTE – April 19, 2010 – Leading global law firm Baker & McKenzie has chosen software from SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) for the replacement of its global financial systems. With the deployment, Baker & McKenzie aims to remain flexible and competitive in this challenging economic climate while also reducing financial operating costs. Hitachi Consulting and Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) will provide implementation services for the project.

The law firm will implement the core enterprise resource planning (ERP) application SAP® ERP, along with the TCS Legal Management Solution (LMS) and functionality from the SAP® for Professional Services solution portfolio. The combination is designed specifically to enable law firms and in-house counsel to manage business processes end-to-end and help meet their increasingly sophisticated client requirements more efficiently.

The implementation underpins Baker & McKenzie’s strategic goals to reduce financial operating costs as well as current and future technology costs, and will increase the firm’s fluency across a number of platforms within its offices around the world.
