ndianapolis — April 16, 2010 — Consona Corporation (Consona), a worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for companies of all sizes, today announced that top PCB manufacturer AT&S concluded implementation of the Cimnet Systems™ Engenix® solution in February. The successful implementation is part of the company’s strategy for continuous improvement and increasing customer satisfaction in pre-production engineering.
AT&S, Europe’s No. 1 PCB manufacturer, began its search for an intelligent pre-production engineering system in 2007. After evaluating a number of competing systems, AT&S selected Cimnet Systems, citing its history as a leader in the PCB industry and an extraordinary 20-year track record meeting the demands of manufacturing companies around the world. AT&S began the implementation process in November 2008, and expects the Engenix system to automate a number of pre-production engineering processes that will ultimately produce higher quality PCBs and improve customer satisfaction.
With this implementation, Engenix is now a part of AT&S’s Asian and European entities. AT&S’s decision to standardize on Engenix is not only a testament to Consona products, but also proof of their dedication to providing the very best to their customers.
Specifically, AT&S will rely on the Engenix solution to deliver the following:
- Advanced stack-up capabilities that incorporate rules-based copper plating calculations and customer requirements for complex HDI products.
- Checking the PCB data to manufacturing capabilities and customer specifications.
- Smooth integration of CAM, SAP and impedance systems for seamless transfer of data in engineering.
Engenix will also be used for customer communication and bill of material (BOM) management.
Led by product manager Iain Wilson, the Consona implementation team satisfactorily met all of AT&S’s demands by working closely with product process engineering department at AT&S China, a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&S. With the Engenix system in place, AT&S hopes to more effectively improve the efficiency of its engineering departments. They estimate Engenix will decrease engineering time for products with complex impedance calculation by 30 percent. Further, they expect it will help avoid manual operation errors, reduce complex paper-based reports, and improve customer satisfaction by providing a fast and precise response.
The Engenix implementation is one crucial part of AT&S’ strategy to continuously improve customer satisfaction, Consona helps to lay a sound foundation to fully realize the goal of engineering production automation in the future.
“We are excited to work with AT&S as they strive to meet their stringent engineering requirements,” said Mehul Dave, vice president, international operations, Consona. “With this implementation, Engenix is now a part of AT&S’s Asian and European entities. AT&S’s decision to standardize on Engenix is not only a testament to Consona products, but also proof of their dedication to providing the very best to their customers.”
Used by PCB manufacturing companies around the world, Engenix provides tools for engineering automation, job management, communication and collaboration. By seamlessly integrating CAM, shop floor, and business data, Engenix enables engineering teams to engineer PCBs consistently, accurately and optimally.
